Majed Player is a media player. It does not provide, host, sell, or redistribute television channels, movies, playlists, DRM keys, or third-party subscriptions.
Data we process
- URLs, headers, playlists, EPG sources and account details that you enter are processed to provide playback and library features.
- Local video access is used only to list and play videos you choose from your device.
- App preferences, history, bookmarks and IPTV configuration may be stored locally on your device.
- The app may make network requests directly to services you configure. Those services receive normal connection information such as your IP address and request headers.
Permissions
Media/video permission is requested only for the Local library. Network access is required for online playback, IPTV, EPG and update-related functions.
Advertising
Majed Player shows ads through Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google may collect device information such as the advertising ID, IP address, app interactions and approximate location, as described in Google's privacy policy (policies.google.com/technologies/ads). Where the law requires it, you are asked for consent first and can change your choice at any time from Settings → Privacy options. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings. Rewarded ads are optional.
Sharing and sale
Majed Player does not sell your personal data. Apart from the advertising data handled by Google AdMob described above, the app does not intentionally send your private playlists, credentials, DRM keys or viewing history to the developer, except the details of items you choose to turn into short links (see below). Third-party services you choose are governed by their own privacy policies.
Short links
When you create a short link, the details of that stream (URL, title, headers and any DRM keys you entered) and the name, description and expiry you choose are sent to the Majed Player link server and stored until the link expires. Anyone who has the link can play the stream in Majed Player. The original URL is shown to them only if you turn on "Allow viewers to see and edit the original". Expired links are deleted automatically. The link server also receives normal connection data such as your IP address, which is used only for rate limiting and kept for a few minutes.
Ad-blocker check
The app downloads a small settings file from the link server and checks your device's DNS settings on the device to detect ad blockers. The result is not sent anywhere.
Security and retention
Locally stored data remains on the device until you remove it, clear app data, uninstall the app, or restore/replace a backup. Protect credentials and backup files as they may contain private configuration.
Children
The app is a general-purpose media player and is not designed to collect information from children.
Your choices
You can remove history, bookmarks, playlists and stored configuration from the app, revoke Android permissions in system settings, and clear all app data from Android settings.
